Sunflower Bank has a new bonus of $200 for customers who open a checking account in-branch. The offer is available in a few states only. Let’s see how this bonus works, and who is eligible.

Offer

Customer will receive a $200 reward when they open their first personal checking account opened in-branch (offer applies to Foundation, Elevation and Pinnacle checking accounts only) and:

• complete 25 or more debit card purchases (pinned, signed, or credit), and
• have ACH credits, ACH debits, or a combination of both (e.g., Direct Deposit/Electronic Payments) totaling $500 or more that all post to the new account on or before 7/31/2023.

The account must be in an open status as of 8/3/2023 and have a positive balance at least one day between 7/1/2023–7/31/2023 to be eligible for the reward payment. Qualifying reward payment will be paid into new checking account by end of business day on 8/4/2023.

Eligibility

• Offer available in AZ, MO, NM, KS, CO, TX.
• Customers (any account owner) who currently have or previously had a personal checking account between 4/1/2022 and 4/1/2023 are not eligible for this offer..

Fees

• The account has no fees with statements. Paper statements $3.00 per month.
• $30 early closing fee if account is closed within 90 days.

This bonus does not require a direct deposit, so it’s easier to do. If you are in one of the eligible states, I think it’s worth going for it. You just need to complete a $500 ACH and 25 transactions. I’m not sure if you can stack it with a referral bonus.
