IHG Extending Expiration for Food & Beverage Rewards
IHG One Rewards, the recently revamped loyalty program, revealed some good news today for its members regarding Food & Beverage Rewards. They are one of the options you have when choosing your Milestone Rewards.
Members has found it difficult to use their Food & Beverage Rewards since they were launched earlier this year. So IHG is giving them more time to use them. All Food & Beverage Rewards chosen in 2022 will have the expiration date extended through December 31, 2023. You will see the expiration date updated in your account in January. Normally, Food & Beverage Rewards are valid for 12 months from milestone selection.
You’ll also have more opportunities to use these rewards. By March 2023, members will be able to begin using Food & Beverage Rewards at US and Canada Luxury, Lifestyle and Premium hotels. This includes InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Hotel Indigo, voco, EVEN Hotels, and Crowne Plaza. Food & Beverage Rewards can be used for purchases applied to guest room bills at hotel restaurants, in-room dining, minibar food & drink items and associated tax and gratuity charges.
Milestone Rewards
Members may earn Milestone Rewards on Elite Qualifying Nights within the calendar year. Milestone Rewards are earned every 10 nights, beginning at 20 nights through 100 nights. Additionally, when a Member has reached 40 and 70 nights, they will be able to choose two Milestone Rewards options (Note: See below for limitations on Confirmable Suite Upgrades and Annual Lounge Membership selections). Members can track their Elite Qualifying Nights activity in their Rewards Wallet within the My Account section of the IHG website or IHG App. Once a milestone is reached, Members have 90 days to select a benefit on the IHG website or IHG App, otherwise, the benefit is forfeited. All Milestone Reward selections are final.
