Global insurance brokerage Hub International Limited has announced the acquisition of South Carolina-based Golden Green, Inc., operating as Golden Corner Wealth Advisors (Golden Corner). The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Golden Corner specializes in wealth management and retirement services. The firm offers personalized financial advisory services, educating clients on various financial concepts and products, including investments, financial planning, and insurance, Hub said..
Founder Jim Charbonneau and the Golden Corner team will join Hub Carolinas.
“We are excited to welcome the Golden Corner team to Hub Carolinas and look forward to further expanding our retirement consulting services in the region,” said Tommy Suggs, president and CEO of Hub Carolinas.
The acquisition aligns with Hub's focus on strengthening its Retirement and Private Wealth (RPW) practice, the brokerage said. The RPW practice assists plan sponsors in developing offerings that align with their business strategies, mitigate fiduciary risks, and support employees' financial goals. Hub's RPW encompasses several registered investment advisory affiliates, managing approximately $148 billion in total assets.

“The Golden Corner team’s focus and expertise in financial planning will help us further support our clients and grow our portfolio management capabilities,” said Joe DeNoyior, president of Hub RPW.
Following the acquisition, Golden Corner will operate as Golden Green, Inc. d.b.a. Golden Corner Wealth Advisors, a subsidiary of Hub International.
The addition of Golden Corner continues Hub’s acquisition spree. Last month, the global broker announced the acquisition of seven related firms in Michigan. Earlier in June, Hub acquired the assets of EINSURANCE, a web-based, direct-to-consumer lead generation platform.
