Flying Blue Sent Erroneous Emails About Ultimate Elite Status
Flying Blue sent out emails yesterday telling members that they achieved top-tier Flying Blue Ultimate elite status. While this would have been a great holiday gift for members, it turns out that it was just an email sent in error.
Flying Blue has clarified the error in a follow-up email saying:
Unfortunately, due to a technical issue, you received an erroneous email yesterday, Wednesday 18 December, informing you that you had achieved Flying Blue Ultimate status. This was incorrect.
We would like to inform you that your current status remains unchanged and is correctly displayed in the Air France and KLM mobile applications, as well as on flyingblue.com
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and kindly ask you to ignore the message from Wednesday 18 December.
