The offer was sent out by email and seems to be targeted, but there is a public link where you can se all the bonus details.

Offer

For a limited time, new or existing Citibank customers can earn $25 – $2,500 when opening a new eligible Citi Savings Account and completing required activities. Here’s the breakdown:

  1. Open a new Citi Savings Account between January 18, 2022, and July 17, 2022
  2. Fund Your Account Within 20 days of opening your eligible Citi Savings Account, deposit $10,000 or more in New-to-Citibank Funds.
  3. Maintain a Balance Keep a Minimum Balance of $10,000 or more in the eligible Citi Savings Account for 60 consecutive calendar days.

You can see the offer here.

Eligibility

  • Your Citi credit card must remain open from the time you open your new eligible savings account through the 60-day Maintenance Period.
  • You must have received the offer directly from Citi to be eligible to participate in this promotion. Participation does not guarantee eligibility.

Fees

A monthly service fee of $25 and a $2.50 non-Citibank ATM fee apply to the checking account in the Citibank Account Package if a combined average monthly balance of $10,000 or more is not maintained.

Guru’s Wrap-up

This bonus requires a large balance that you need to keep in a Citi savings account for at least 60 days, and maybe more. These accounts have an APY close to nothing, so it will not make sense unless you were planning to transfer large funds to Citi anyway.
