Negative Changes to Amex Business Platinum Dell & Adobe Credits
American Express is extending its partnership with Dell and Adobe as promised. However, these benefits on the Amex Business Platinum card will be less valuable starting July 1, 2025.
Business Platinum Card Members who were already enrolled in the current benefit(s) will be automatically enrolled in the new benefit(s) – they just need to start spending at Adobe or Dell to start taking advantage of the new benefit(s). If a Card Member was not previously enrolled in either or both benefits, enrollment is required.
Dell Benefit
- NEW Dell Benefit: Enrolled Business Platinum Card Members can get up to $150 in statement credits on U.S. purchases made directly with Dell and an additional $1,000 statement credit after they spend $5,000 or more on those purchases from July 1-Dec 31, 2025 (and for each calendar year after), totaling up to $1,150 in Dell statement credits.
- Current Dell Benefit: Valid through June 30, 2025, enrolled Business Platinum Card Members can earn up to $200 in statement credits semi-annually – $400 annually – on U.S. purchases with Dell on the Business Platinum Card.
Adobe Benefit
- NEW Adobe Benefit: Enrolled Business Platinum Card Members can get a $250 statement credit after they spend $600 or more on U.S. purchases made directly with Adobe from July 1-Dec 31, 2025 (and for each calendar year after).
- Current Adobe Benefit: Valid through June 30, 2025, enrolled Business Platinum Card Members can earn up to $150 in statement credits on select Adobe purchases on the Business Platinum Card.
Guru’s Wrap-up
The Dell benefit basically goes from $400 in annual credits to just $150. The $1,000 statement credit for spending $5,000 or more at Dell might be useful in some rare cases, but I wouldn’t take it into consideration when calculating the value of the card’s benefits.
In 2025, Business Platinum Card Members enrolled in the Adobe or Dell benefits may receive both the current and new benefits. Eligible purchases made directly with Adobe and Dell, respectively, from January 1 through June 30, 2025 will be counted towards the current benefits.
Starting July 1, 2025, eligible purchases made directly with Adobe and Dell, respectively, will be counted towards the new benefits only.
