Amex Blue Cash Preferred Expands Streaming Benefits

Today, American Express announced it has expanded the Blue Cash Preferred® Card’s U.S. Select Streaming Subscriptions category.

Starting January 30, cardmembers will be able to earn unlimited 6% cash back on purchases from a total of 32 popular streaming services including new partners like MGM+ (added in August 2024), AMC+, BritBox, Discovery+, and Starz.

This category expansion is in addition to the existing benefit on the Blue Cash Preferred® Card where Card Members can receive up to $7 back monthly (for a total of up to $84 back annually) after using an enrolled Blue Cash Preferred Card to spend $9.99 or more on a subscription to the Disney Bundle.

The Blue Cash Preferred® Card currently has a welcome bonus of $250. This is a card that comes with $0 intro annual fee for the first year, then $95. Besides 6% cash back on streaming, it also earns the best rate of 6% cash back on groceries (up to $6,000 per year).
