JetBlue Temporarily Waives Blue Basic Change/Cancel Fees
JetBlue sent out an email to TruBlue members today to outline some change and improvements. here are the main points listed in the email:
- To give you more travel flexibility, we’re waiving change/cancel fees on new Blue Basic bookings made Aug 25 – Oct 31 2021, and there are no change/cancel fees for our other fares. Fare difference and fare rules on date of change apply.
- We’ve rolled out our carry-on bag guarantee on all flights within the U.S. (excluding Blue Basic fares) to provide faster boarding and fewer surprises. No more guessing. If your carry-on bag doesn’t make it on the flight, you’ll receive a $25 travel credit.
Additionally, JetBlue says that it has increased live chat capabilities (over a third of your Customer Support queries are now handled via chat), while reducing call hold times. Wait times at airports has been trimmed down by streamlining lobby lines and adding more crewmembers at bag drops.
